Haier (Dalian) Industrial Park
The 380-mu Haier (Dalian) Industrial Park is located in the export processing area of Dalian. It began construction in September 2001 and was completed and put into operation at the end of 2001. The whole project used a total investment of RMB 6 billion. After all the items going into operation, the total sale revenue of the park will be RMB 6 billion.
From laying the foundation stone to going into operation, the park took only three months to build. This speed is really awesome. The park has a total of 103,000 m2 of buildings, capable of producing 500,000 refrigerators, one million air conditioners, 3 million metal fixtures and injection moldings per year.
It took Haier ten years to attain an output of one million refrigerators; and it took 7 years for it to get to the same level of production for air-conditioners. But it took only three months to acquire the same production capability in Dalian! It is the countless overseas orders that account for such high speed.
Haier (Dalian) Industrial Park has become the group's second largest export manufacturing base after the Haier QETDZ Industrial Park.
