Haier (Wuhan) Industrial Park
Haier (Wuhan) Industrial Park covers 300 mu of land in the Wuhan Dunkou Development Zone. The first phase project which involves 50,000m2 of building space, will need an investment of RMB 150 million. After completion of the project, the air-conditioner manufacturing capacity will grow to 700,000 sets, enough to meet the demands of the south, middle-south and southwest areas of China. At the same time, Haier Group will build an HMS Wuhan center in the park to further enhance Haier's network coverage in the region. The project will be completed at the end of 2002. After operation of the project, there will be an annual output value worth RMB 2 billion.
To further sharpen the competitive edge of Haier products, the group emphasizes local production and sets up production bases in many key areas of the country. For example, it has set up a refrigerator production base in Zunyi, Guizhou Province, a washing machine production base in Shunde, Guangdong Province, a B2B production base in Hefei, Anhui Province and an export production base in Dalian, Liaoning Province. Haier (Wuhan) Industrial Park will play a significant part in the manufacture and sales of Haier products thanks to its booming economy, advantageous geographical location and convenient means of transport.
