Question: Storage type electric water heater can not be heated, heating indicator light is not bright, how to repair?

When such a failure occurs, the following 4 parts should be checked:

1) Check whether the connector end of the thermostat is in poor contact or disconnected. Remove bad or broken points.

2) Check whether the thermostat is disconnected. If the resistance value measured by a multimeter is infinity (normal 0Ω) or there is no switching sound when rotating, it indicates that the thermostat is damaged and needs to be replaced.

3) Check whether the plug socket is in poor contact, the power cord is broken or the internal wiring terminal is burned out. Repair or replace the wiring, plugs and sockets.

4) Inspect the controller for damage. There is power input and no output to the heating tube, the controller needs to be replaced.

【 Tip 】In the heat preservation state, about 5 minutes after the water is released, the indicator turns to the heating state. Normal hot water is used, indicating that the indicator is damaged and needs to be replaced.
