Haier tops Global Major Appliance Brand rankings for sixth consecutive year

Global market share surpasses 10% mark for first time

Haier has been recognised as the number one brand of Major Appliances in the world for the sixth consecutive year by Euromonitor International, the world’s leading independent provider of business intelligence on industries, countries, companies and consumers. According to data released by Euromonitor International, the brand achieved a 10.2% retail volume market share in 2014, surpassing the double-digit mark for the first time. Haier also tops Euromonitor International rankings in four product categories: Refrigeration Appliances, Freezers, Home Laundry Appliances and Electrical Wine Coolers/Chillers.

 

The research data from Euromonitor International shows that Haier’s global retail sales of major appliances have continuously increased since the brand first topped the Global Major Appliances Brands rankings in 2009 with a global market share of 5.1%. Despite general market sluggishness in 2014 and decreasing or negative sales growth for many, Haier’s crowning for the sixth consecutive year is further evidence of the company’s capacity to adapt in the Internet Age.
