Haier to unveil its extended and innovative range of new televisions for the first time in Europe!
07-27 2011

Neuilly, France, 3 September, 2010 – Haier is to put forward its new television range on its brown goods stand at IFA this year. Already ranked world’s No. 1 white goods brand since 2009 (source: Euromonitor), Haier will use this occasion to put forward its expertise in the brown goods sector, a market the brand entered in 1997, to consumers and European professionals alike. Already present in Europe with its LCD and LED televisions, the brand will introduce an expanded and innovation-filled range to its visitors this year.

A powerful and experienced R&D team, geared towards the needs of European consumers Already an award-winner in Europe for its innovations, Haier continues to invest a significant percentage of its turnover (around 4%) in R&D. In Europe, Haier's R&D department relies on the marketing expertise of its local teams and the Group's industrial strength in order to create products that best meet the expectations of today's European consumers.

A factory in Poland, for an optimized reactivity and market compatibility With its 360 000 m², the television factory based in Poland has a production capacity of 2 million units a year. This represents 20 people in the quality team, 200 in the R&D team and 8 production lines, all equipped with the latest technologies, allowing Haier to meet the expectations of European consumers in the best way possible.

INNOVATION The televisions of the future are already available…

Noticed for its unique launch of the small-screened LED TVs at the beginning of 2010, Haier carries on with its innovations and developments in order to make the televisions of the future (wireless or 3D TVs, TVs with Wi-Fi connections) accessible to all!

First introduced at the CES trade show in Las Vegas in January 2010, the first wireless television in the world is now making its European debut! This television uses the wireless technology "Highly Resonant Magnetic Coupling", a device developed by MIT which allows for efficient long distance electricity transmitting.
Televisions with Wi-Fi connections are now more and more present in our living rooms. With Hi Net and Hi Net+ technology direction, Haier multiplies its televisions' functions: Internet access, online video watching, climate, news, etc.
3D is at the heart of all conversations. Haier is integrating it to a number of its televisions, thus offering the 3D experience to as many viewers as possible…

DESIGN A metal finish: design is also part of innovation!

Very trendy in the home appliances sector, a stainless steel or metal finish both give a very modern touch to any product. Haier is slowly integrating this design to each of its product ranges, great news for anyone looking for perfection when it comes to interior decorating.

Metal finish, exceptionally thin screen… the new H300 range symbolises the best Haier has to offer in terms of design.

ECO-FRIENDLY LED technology, number one for energy savings

The benefits of LED technology are massive in terms of energy savings. Haier integrates it in practically each of its televisions in order to provide a better quality image and an energy consumption up to 40% lower than that of a non-LED TV.

During the first 2010 semester, Haier distinguished itself from its competitors by launching LED TVs in 19/22/24 inches units. This specificity allowed the brand to stand out and promote products with various advantages: Timeshift function, recordable USB key, built-in TNT Full HD decoder…

Haier's current objective is to expand this range with larger screen sizes, 3D unique designs and Internet access in order to solidify its position in the sector.

René Aubertin, CEO for Haier Europe, Duan Wei, Market Director for Haier UK & Ireland, Jeff Moody, Sales and Marketing Director for Haier UK and Ireland and the European white and brown goods product managers will all be present at IFA.
