Haier to present its latest innovations in household appliances and televisions at IFA 2011

Haier, the world’s number one Major Appliances brand (source: Euromonitor International Limited; retail volume sales in units based on 2010 data), will be making the most of the IFA trade show in order to present its new product ranges, which are characterised by the consistency of their quality design and numerous innovations.

  • A+++ energy performance rating on Cooling products

By working on the architecture of its Cooling products, Haier has developed its first

A+++ rated appliances, which it will be presenting at IFA. These products still retain their technical performance and design characteristics, which have even been further improved on. Static cooling and ventilated (No Frost) combi fridge freezers and chest freezers will be the first products to benefit from this excellent level of energy performance.


  • MyZone – adaptable fridge freezer concept

The flagship product for 2011, MyZone is an innovative fridge freezer design with a fully independent middle drawer whose temperature can be adjusted from +5 degrees to -18 degrees Celsius in order to better suit the owner’s freezing and cooling requirements depending on the season, events and stages of their everyday life! This model is available in red, black and white Haier Glass Design®, and Stainless Steel effect.


  • New American style 2-door and 4-door refrigerators

With the aim of offering refrigerator ranges that are always more complete and consistent, Haier will be presenting a new Side-by-Side and French Door range in Haier Glass Design®. This range represents the future for American style refrigerators – a 4-door model with two freezer drawers inspired by Haier’s renowned 3D Fridge.


  • Award winning Haier Glass Design®

The rolling out of the Haier Glass Design® finish across all of its refrigerator ranges recently earned the brand an IFA PREVIEW Design Award 2011.


  • First generation of washing machines to include an antibacterial seal and detergent drawer

The new range of Haier washing machines has a unique, innovative quality – the seals and detergent drawers are treated with Haier’s ABT antibacterial treatment. This exclusive treatment and its application were certified in June 2011 by the VDE (German certification laboratory), which confirmed its effect; namely, the eradication of more than 99.8% of Staphylococcus aureus, E.coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. From now on, it will be integrated into all of the brand’s new washing machine ranges, starting with the 86 Series, launched by Haier Europe in June.

Over the coming months, these innovations will increase in number and will be rolled across Haier’s dishwashers thanks to the recent launch of an R&D Centre located in Nuremberg, Germany, dedicated to this product range. The centre will have two main objectives…

The first part of its mission will be to improve existing product ranges, in order to gain competitiveness and offer a high performance, added-value product aimed at the European and American markets. Secondly, this R&D centre will enable the development of a new approach to design in terms of aesthetics, characteristics and functionality, in order to drive long-term customer loyalty and to build the Haier brand image on the global market.


Design-led, performance televisions with futuristic features on Haier’s BROWN GOODS stand


  • M500P – Haier’s first 3D, Internet connected television range, ideal for family use

To target a wider audience, Haier has chosen to adopt polarised 3D technology for its televisions that is more accessible in terms of price, offers battery-free, lighter glasses, at a cost that enables the whole family to get equipped with a pair and boasts increased comfort levels thanks to an enlarged viewing angle and a better display of colour.


This range of ultra-thin, Black METAL design 3D TVs also connects to the Internet via a selection of applications, such as VOD, programme replay or other services.


  • The new ultra-slim A700 and A500 Series – design-led, Internet-ready TVs

Boasting a sleek frame and a discreet, elegant chrome-look stand, the A700 Series is Internet-ready and offers users Haier’s F2R 200Hz (Fast Refresh Rate) display for improved image fluidity. The A500 Series, also Internet connected, has a 100Hz image refresh rate.

  • Haier presents the TVs of tomorrow...

The brand which invests 4% of its turnover in R&D is keen to show IFA attendees the fruits of its latest research, demonstrating its vision of the televisions of tomorrow:  invisible organic screens, TVs controlled by your movements or by electrical signals from your brain, 3D TV without glasses, TVs connected to the Internet but also to your other electrical or household appliances to control all of the devices within your home… Two next generation wireless TV models will also be presented on the brown goods stand.
