Haier tops Global Major Appliances Brand rankings for seventh consecutive year

Haier Group has been recognised again as the number one Major Appliances brand in the world for the seventh consecutive year by Euromonitor International, the world’s leading independent provider of business intelligence on industries, countries, companies and consumers. According to data released by Euromonitor International, the brand achieved a 9.8% retail volume market share in 2015. Haier also tops Euromonitor International rankings in the following product categories: Refrigeration Appliances, Freezers and Home Laundry Appliances.


Euromonitor International 2015 certifications : Haier N°1 in all categories below

§  Haier Group is the N°1 Brand of Major Appliances in the world (with 9.8% retail volume share)*

§  Haier Group is the N°1 Brand of Refrigeration Appliances in the world (with 15.7% retail volume share)*

§  Haier Group is the N°1 Brand of Freezers in the world (with 20.6% retail volume share)*

§   Haier Group is the N°1 Brand of Home Laundry Appliances in the world (with 14.3% retail volume share)*

Haier’s competitive advantage: its zero distance relation with the consumer

Despite general market sluggishness, Haier’s crowning for the seventh consecutive year is further evidence of the company’s capacity to adapt its business model to the Internet age and the changing demands of connected consumers.

Indeed, Haier has created an entire ecosystem that nurtures innovative ways to engage its consumers. A key example being online factories, a model of manufacturing developed by the brand, in line with future visions as set out in Industry 4.0. Haier has already launched a number of these online factories, including a refrigerator factory in Shenyang and an air conditioner factory in Zhengzhou. By linking their consumers to factories and suppliers, they become designers and are able to take part directly in the R&D and manufacturing processes for new products.

Haier in the future

Going forward into 2016, Haier announced a strategic partnership agreement with General Electric on January 15th, formalisingthe acquisition of GE Appliances.  Recently reorganising its structure in Europe with the appointment of several Regional Managers, Haier plans to continue its evolution from a traditional manufacturing company into a platform to inspire entrepreneurs. Throughout the year, Haier will continue to build its co-creation platform as part of its commitment to succeed together with integrity and create value for all its stakeholders.
