In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable South African laws, we inform you that you are subject to personal data processing as described below.

HAIER ELECTRONICS SOUTH AFRICA (PTY) LTD (“HSA”) collects certain personal data in order to manage your requests related to the repair of Haier products, to address any potential issues regarding product use, and more generally, to handle any requests related to after-sales services.

This processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and HSA, and for the legitimate interests of Haier SA in providing and improving its customer services.

The personal data we process may include your identity and contact details, product purchase information, details of your after-sales service requests, and, where applicable, your banking details.

Your data may be shared with our internal departments (after-sales, finance, logistics), affiliated entities within the Haier Group worldwide, authorized employees, and third-party service providers (such as call centres, repair companies, logistics partners, insurance companies, and IT service providers) strictly for the purpose of fulfilling the above-mentioned services.

We retain your personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, as well as to object to or restrict its processing, under the conditions specified by law.
