12-11 2015

Zhang Ruimin, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haier Group, received two prestigious honours at the 2015 Thinkers50 Award Gala in London. Zhang Ruimin was the first ever recipient of the new ‘Ideas into Practice’ award. He was also named in the 2015 Thinkers50 ranking of the most influential global management thinkers, selected by over 20,000 people from nearly 30 countries.

Thinkers50 gave tribute to the fact that Zhang Ruimin is continuing to forge novel management practices to adapt Haier, in response to the disruptive nature of technology and the Internet. Thinkers50 also praised Haier’s application of a distinctively Chinese and progressive business philosophy when granting the award, showing the increasing importance and acceptance in the western world of novel Chinese management practices, for which Zhang Ruimin is paving the way.
