1. When wifi module online on APP, it will detect the software version of the indoor unit and outdoor unit compare with V2.6/V2.7 and also check if this unit’s serial number if in the list that R&D provide to CANDY, if this serial number in the list and the version is older than V2.6/V2.7, then the hon cloud will send the update package to the wifi module, depends on the internet, it will takes few mins, during this period, the wired controller will not show E7 error. 2. After download the program package in wifi module, wifi module will transfer the data to indoor, during this transferring, the indoor PCB will erase the program first , that’s why during this period if power off the indoor and power on, the wired controller will only show “ATUO” and no parameters of indoor and outdoor, cause there’s no program in the PCB. This period will take about 15min more or less, depend on the internet of the wifi module. If power off the indoor unit during this period , after power on the indoor unit and the wifi module online, will repeat the transfer process , from wifi module to indoor PCB. For example, if the program transfer 80% from the wifi module to indoor, after re-power on the unit, it will from 0% to retransfer the data from module to indoor PCB to make sure there’s no data losing during transferring. During this period there’s no other solution but need to wait this process finished this process. After finished this period , the communication from indoor to wired controller will back to normal. That’s why if do not disconnect the wifi module, even re-programing the PCB will still have the AUTO on the wired controller, cause the wifi module will keep loading the process until it finished. The only way is waiting the process finished, or not use the wifi module and re-program the unit manually. 3. The indoor and outdoor OTA is separate, means the unit needs to do twice this procedure, so the total time might keep 1 h more or less, and every time doing the OTA it will have the E7 error shows on wired controller.
