Haier Named China’s Most Valuable Brand for the 12th Consecutive Year
Released recently, the 19th China’s Most Valuable Brands Report has placed Haier at the top of its ranking for the 12th consecutive year, valuing the company at RMB 99.29 billion (US$16.22 billion).
China’s Most Valuable Brands report is the longest running annual research project on brand values of Chinese companies. The report reveals that the average brand value of top 100 brands has reached RMB 21.41 billion, growing 10-fold compared to the same ranking in 1995. Haier saw 40-fold growth in brand value during the same period.
According to the report, Haier achieved its outstanding performance thanks to its steady growth over the years. Having secured a market leading position in China, Haier has poured additional resources into integrating and maximizing global technology know-how and market resources, and in fostering the development of five global R&D centers. As a result, Haier continues to win consumer awareness in the worldwide marketplace. On Dec. 24, 2012, Euromonitor International, the global leader in consumer market strategy research, ranked Haier as the number one major appliance brand in the world for the fourth straight year, with an 8.6% retail volume share in 2012.
