President of Pakistan awarded Mr. Javed Afridi with Businessman of the Year Award

BUSINESSMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR JAVED AFRIDI

Mr. Javed Afridi of Haier Pakistan has been honored with the coveted ‘Businessman of the Year” Award for his outstanding achievement.  Mr. Afridi who is CEO of Haier n Ruba Manufacturing received his award from the President of Pakistan Mr. Mamnoon Hussain, at a glittering ceremony attended by cabinet ministers, high government officials and prominent members of the business community, and officials of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

These are the 9^th Achievement Awards, which are held every year under the auspices of the Lahore Chamber to honor outstanding performances and achievements in various fields by businessmen and business houses in the country.

For Haier it was a ‘double take’ at the ceremony, with Haier Pakistan being awarded a “Gold medal” for outstanding contribution to the economy.

In his remarks, President Mamnoon appreciated the LCCI initiative, saying that businessmen are writing new success stories with their sheer commitment and dedication despite all odds. He expressed optimism that the entire business community will work hard to cope with new challenges facing the country.

Upon receiving the “Businessman of the Year” award, Mr. Javed Afridi thanked Allah Almighty for bestowing this honor on him.
