China Govt’s Top Development Planner Visits the Haier, Ruba Industrial Zone.

The Vice Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Council Mr. Zhang Xiaoqiang is on an official working visit to Pakistan as a follow up to the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the Peoples Republic during which several major MOUs were signed between the two countries.

During his visit Mr. Zhang Xiaoqiang will identify the most suitable locations for several proposed industrial zones on the proposed new trade highway linking Pakistan and China. It is in this context that Mr. Zhang Xiaoqiang toured the Haier and Ruba Economic Zone in the suburbs of Lahore.

Sprawling over 68 acres, the Haier Ruba Industrial Zone produces market leading electronic goods and a whole range of home appliances. The zone includes a workers’ residential complex and state of the art design and production facilities, and has seen Pakistan gain the technological knowhow and technical expertise to produce high quality white and brown goods.

On arrival at the industrial complex he was accorded a red carpet welcome by Haier and  Ruba officials including Mr. Shah Faisal Director Haier – Ruba Economic Zone, Mr. Li Dapeng Head of Sales & Marketing, Mr. Haji Muhammad Shah Afridi Ex-Parliamentarian and other High officials from Haier Pakistan and other Chinese companies operated in Haier-Ruba Economic Zone.
