Haier Ranked Top 50 among the World's 500 Most Influential Brands 2017
On 21 December 2017, the World Brand Lab disclosed the list of the World’s 500 Most Influential Brands 2017 (14th) in New York. 37 Chinese brands were enlisted, and Haier was the only Chinese brand for white appliances in the list.
The World Brand Lab is a leading interna-tional organization for brand consulting, research and assessment. It is chaired by Professor Robert Mundell, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 1999. The organization is committed to brand evaluation, strategy, naming, design and protection. The experts and consultants working for it all come from top-class insti-tutions in the world, including Harvard Uni-versity, Yale University and the MIT. Its research findings have become major references in evaluating the intangi-ble assets of a company.
The list of the World’s 500 Most Influential Brands has been issued for 14 years successively. It is made according to the global influence of brands, or put in other words, their ability to explore and dominate the market, and make profits. Haier being enlisted proves its global influence as the top brand for home appliance in the world.
Behind the shiny performance list, there must be a unique model of globalization. The essence of Haier’s globaliza-tion is that of the “RenDanHeYi” model. Based on its value of “customer needs-oriented”, the model is able to be duplicated and promoted in different corporate cultures and lays a solid foundation for Chinese enterprises to quick-ly increase their influence in the global market.
