Haier India is a 100 percent subsidiary of Haier Group, which is one of the fastest growing consumer durables companies in the world. Haier, the world’s leading home appliances and consumer electronics brand, has once again been named by Euromonitor International as the number one major appliances brand in the world. "Haier is the Number One Brand of Major Appliances in the World in Volume Sales." This is the Eighth consecutive year that Haier has received the accolade recognizing the company as the largest home appliances globally by market share. The world's most authoritative market research institution Euromonitor officially released 2016's global major household appliances brand retail sales data. The data released shows that volume sales of Haier brand major household electrical appliances in 2016 accounted for 10.3% of the global market. These figures place Haier first in the world once again, the company's 8th consecutive top placement since 2009. In addition, refrigeration appliances, home laundry appliances, electric wine coolers, and freezers volume sales were also significantly ahead of competing brand retail sales, retaining Haier's place as a world leader.

A transformation in the global major appliances market was witnessed in 2015, with consumers increasingly using Internet platforms to call for individualized product requirements. Outdated and closed industrial manufacturing systems are today unable to satisfy these bespoke demands of the individual customer. Companies therefore need to be able to listen and react to consumers’ changing needs in order to stand out from the market. In spite of weak growth in the global home appliances market, Haier was able to succeed and maintain its recognized position as the world’s leading home appliances manufacturer largely owing to its ability and desire to adapt its business model to the Internet age and the shifting demands of connected consumers.
 
Haier has created an entire ecosystem that nurtures innovative ways to engage with its consumers. Online factories are such an example. They are a model of manufacturing developed by Haier in line with future visions as set out in Industry 4.0. Haier has already launched a number of these online factories, including a refrigerator factory in Shenyang and an air conditioner factory in Zhengzhou. By linking their consumers to factories and suppliers, Haier’s consumers have become designers and are able to directly take part in the R&D and manufacturing processes for new products. This is in line with the company’s aspiration to make the world both their R&D Department and their Human Resources Department.
 
These new ways of engaging with its customers as well as Haier’s increasing utilization of popular smart home solutions led to the development of a number of notable product launch successes in 2015. Examples such as the company’s Clean-Free washing machine – that cleans its tub while washing clothes – helped Haier gain top spot in Euromonitor’s International product category ranking for Home Laundry Appliances. Likewise, its Xinchu Refrigerator – that connects to the Internet to become an interactive platform enabling users to watch videos and order food while cooking – was another product hit in 2015, helping Haier top the Refrigeration Appliances product category ranking. Haier also ranked first in Euromonitor’s International rankings in two other product categories: Freezers and Electrical Wine Coolers/Chillers.
 
Going forward into 2016, Haier, which announced a strategic partnership agreement with General Electric as well as the acquisition of GE Appliances last Friday, January 15, plans to continue its evolution from a traditional manufacturing company into a platform to incubate entrepreneurs. Haier will continue to build its co-creation platform in 2016 as part of its commitment to win together through integrity and create value for all its stakeholders.

• White household appliance platform: focus on interconnected factory's interface with the customization from Micronet system. Drive product iteration with user resources with man-machine dialog and interconnection of Internet appliance.

• Investment incubation platform: With "Integrity First" as the core principle and community as the basic unit, build tailored reservation platform and develop user resources with mutual trust and lasting relationship, driving transformation and upgrade of microenterprises via capital marketization throughout all processes.

The three platforms can provide a series of entrepreneurial resources, including the manufacture, logistics, VC investment and incubation, human capital and other systems for the entrepreneurs, enabling them to achieve innovative growth by using resources in Haier's ecosystems.

Through its exploration into the Internet Model, Haier Group has achieved steady growth. In 2015, Haier achieved a global turnover of 188.7 billion yuan with a compound growth rate of 6% over the past decade, and a total profit of 18 billion yuan with a 20% year-on-year growth rate and 30% compound growth rate over the past decade, 5 times that in revenue. The online trade volume reached 157.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of nearly 200%. With the rapid development of Internet finance, the trade volume on the Internet platform totaled over 70 billion yuan. By the end of 2015, Haier's platforms have attracted over 4,700 first-rate external resources, 3 billion yuan of VC fund, 1,330 VC institutions and 103 incubators, setting the stage for 1,160 projects. More than 100 microenterprises boast an annual revenue of over 100 million yuan, and 22 have introduced VC, and 12 are valued at over 100 million yuan. Due to Haier’s transformation through decentralization, disintermediation and removing the “insulated wall”, the employees have decreased from the highest 110,000 to less than 60,000, but Haier's platforms have offered over 1 million jobs for the whole society.

Haier's Internet transformation is based on the exploration into the "win-win model of Rendanheyi". Now the model has been iterated and upgraded to "Rendanheyi 2.0 - an ecosystem for co-creation and winning together", in which, the definitions of "ren" and "dan" have changed from "employees" to "stakeholders" and from "user value" to "user resources" respectively, and "win-win" has been upgraded to "all-win".
