When we use the refrigerator, we should clean it every few months, special in summer, we should clean it every month.
There are some benefits:
Note:Unplug the refrigerator from the power supply before cleaning.
Step 1.
Take out of the food stored in the refrigerator and put it in a cool place. Open the freezer compartment door to allow
the freezer to defrost. If the ice is thick, you can put a tray full of hot water in the freezer compartment.
Step 2. clean the fridge compartment
Prepare a cleaning solution mixed with warm water. Use a sponge or soft cloth, dampened
with the cleaning solution, to wipe down the refrigerator compartment, include shelves, liner,
vegetable box, bottle rack and door pockets.
Note:1) If there is the ice on the back of liner, please wipe clean.
2) If there has bad smell in refrigerator compartment, please spray 1 or 2 times with
white vinegar or dilute lemon juice or a non toxic cleaner.
3) Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, ammonia, chlorine bleach,concentrated
detergents,solvents or metal scouring pads. Some of these chemicals may dissolve,
damage and /or discolor the refrigerator.
4) Check the drain hole,and make sure it is not blocked. If blocked clean it by using
cleaning stick or a plastic drinking straw.
If you can't find the hole when you pull out the shelves and drawers, it means that the hole is behind the air duct, you don't need clean it.
Open the door and rinse with clean warm water and dry with a soft cloth. If the refrigerator has been sprayed
with deodorant, please close the refrigerator door about fifteen minutes before the next step.
Leave the refrigerator 5 minutes without closing the refrigerator door.
Replace the food which stored in refrigerator compartment. If these has bad smell still, please open the door
and wait about half a hour, and it will be OK.
Step 3.
Clean the gasket, door and outside of the refrigerator and dry with a soft cloth.
Note : 1) Clean door gaskets every three months .Gaskets
should be kept clean and flexible to ensure a proper seal.
2) A small amount of petroleum jelly applied lightly on the hinge side of gaskets will help
keep the gasket flexible and ensure a good seal.
Step 4.
Clear the compressor compartment to remove any build up of dust and fluff and
clean the evaporating dish above the compressor.
WARNING:
Power off, open the cover of the bottom of the refrigerator, if you find that it is for the water from the container, you can release the water
If the container is on the compressor, you can pull and remove it then release the water.
On the top of the compressor, there are some damping cements, if you remove the container, they will be broken, we advise you don’t need to remove it ,you can use the towel to release the water.
If the container is beside the compressor, it is fixed on the compressor bracket, you could not remove it, you should use the towel to release the water
Step 5. Clean the freezer compartment
If the refrigerator is not frost free, you should defrost the ice on the freezer evaporator assembly with a non metallic defrost scraper. Dry the freezer compartment with a soft cloth.
Clean the freezer drawer and wipe down it with dry soft cloth.
If your refrigerator is frost free, you don't need to clean the ice on the evaporator.
Step 6.
Clean the surface of the refrigerator
Step 7.
Power on, the refrigerator works normally.
Put the food and the drawer into the refrigerator.
