New Delhi, March 25, 2017: Haier, the global leader in Home Appliances & Consumer Electronics and World’s Number 1 brand in Major Appliances for the 8th Consecutive Year* as per Euromonitor International Survey 2016, announced its association with Business World Hotelier for IHA- Indian Hospitality Awards 2017, a leading hospitality event in India. Hoteliers and hotels from across the country were honored for their contribution for the year 2016-17 at the award ceremony. The event will be held over two days at the Leela Ambience Gurugram on March 23 and 24, 2017.
The Awards are one of the most reputed accolade of the hospitality industry in India attracting entrees from across the country. Haier being a leader in the consumer durable industry and catering to different players in the hospitality segment will be the official sponsor of the 2nd Indian Hospitality Awards. The 2 day summit will include sessions on New Business Channels; Revenue Management Strategies; Domestic Tourism; Emerging Technologies; Airline Traffic Projections; Social Media and Hospitality and other important issues including that of Talent Management.
Haier will commence the event with an opening presentation and also host a Knowledge Forum on air-conditioning systems and discuss at length about the issue of carbon footprints and how to lower the carbon footprint by using energy efficient HVAC System. The speakers of the forum would be Mr.N.S Satish, Senior Vice-President and National Head (Sales and Marketing) PGHs- product group head Mr. Debarjun Ray (Commercial Freezers), Mr. Debajit Sen (Commercial Air Conditioners). Followed by the opening ceremony will be the Panel discussion including panelists such as Mr. Rishi Raj Singh, General Manager, Welcom Hotel Dwarka; Mr. Rothin Banerjee, Chief Engineer, Taj Palace; Mr. Rahul Prabhakar, Chief Engineer, ITC Maurya; Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Director of Engineering, Andaz Delhi; Mr. Pawan Tewari, Chief Engineer, Radisson MBD Noida. The agenda of the panel discussion will also revolve around the reduction of carbon footprints using energy efficient HVAC System.
During the Haier conclave, the theme was - ‘Inside Commercial Air Conditioning: Lowering Your Carbon Footprint Using Energy Efficient HVAC System’. Mr. N S Satish added, “Technology and appliances companies like Haier always plan equipment that would be sustainable for 30 years in advance, keeping in mind the normal temperature of the future. I believe the best practice is to design appliances for the future but totally rejecting the existing appliances in not advisable. Augmenting them up to the capacity of 60-70 per cent for efficiency can be also considered.”
