Haier India pledges support amid nationwide COVID-19 crisis

Haier India, the global leader in Home Appliances & Consumer Electronics and World’s Number 1 brand in Major Appliances for 11 Consecutive Years*, has pledged its support for India’s fight against COVID-19. To provide basic amenities to the frontline workers, doctors and patients, Haier has donated products like Refrigerators, Televisions and Deep Freezers to the hospitals dedicated as quarantine isolation wards across 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh and Pune.
Being a socially responsible company, Haier also undertook the initiative to provide essential food supplies to the poor who are struggling to survive amid the nationwide lockdown in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Maharashtra. The company has disbursed 1.1 million meals including essential ration items in districts like Greater Noida, Lucknow, Meerut, Agra, Bareilly, Bulandshahar and Basti among others. Haier India is committed to extending support to the community and is taking all necessary measures to contribute towards our country’s fight against the global pandemic that has brought the world to a standstill.
As part of taking initiatives towards supporting the government and easing the burden of the state administrations, the company mobilized its team of volunteers to offer help to the underprivileged in some of the worst-hit areas. Through its team of volunteers, the company has also taken immediate palliative measures to help people in the areas that have lately been identified as hot-spots of COVID-19.
The burgeoning impact of COVID-19 has brought industries, organizations, institutions and possibly every human activity to a halt. Haier is constantly analysing the on-ground situation to ensure relentless support to the community, government and the country.
Staying true its customers, Haier has also extended the extended warranty on all its products expiring in March and April 2020 to two months after the lockdown is lifted.
