  • Haier has launched industry's first IoT-enabled Sharing AC service in India at SPS Plaza Hotel in Delhi NCR to add convenience to the evolving lifestyle of consumers.

  • With smartphone-enabled features, users can operate, monitor, and share the service from their smart devices with Smart Sharing AC app

New Delhi, July 16, 2021: Haier, the global leader in Home Appliances & Consumer Electronics and World’s Number 1 brand in Major Appliances for the 12 Consecutive Years*, has announced the launch of the industry’s first Smart sharing AC services in India, under the banner of its micro-enterprise, Haier Smart Solutions. This unique AC service is fully automated & enabled by IoT, and can be conveniently operated through the ‘Smart Sharing AC’ mobile application.

After the success of the industry’s first IoT-enabled Haier smart laundry service in cities across India, Haier is again spearheading the industry with yet another offering of Smart Sharing AC services in India. To add more comfort and convenience to the lives of today's tech-savvy users, Haier has introduced an end-to-end digitally managed cooling solution. Controlled entirely through a smartphone application, the service will enable its users to operate and monitor the ACs from their smartphones. As part of the service, the air conditioners will be connected to a cloud server; enabling users to control and manage them remotely from anywhere through the application. Following a pay-per-use model, this service can find strong use-cases in places like hotels or bed and breakfasts, hostels in education, etc.

Today, most colleges do not provide AC services in hostels because of extensive capital blockage and maintenance of the units. Keeping this in mind, Haier has developed this smart solution that can easily be installed in hostel rooms, and users can enjoy flexible payment options (Pay per Use) while making zero deposits and no installation and maintenance charges. The college can conveniently maintain the ACs and track the usage via the Administrative Dashboard and also turn on/off the ACs centrally whenever required. The Smart Sharing AC solution can prove to be a highly interactive & convenient service in hostel accommodations at education institutions, co-living & co-working spaces, and hotels. With the pay-per-use structure, users can scan the QR Code and operate the air conditioner with available flexible payment options. The Sharing AC app provides hassle-free payment options for the service and real-time monitoring for multiple ACs through the Administrative Dashboard.

Mr Eric Braganza, President, Haier Appliances India commented on the launch, “We are excited to launch the all-new Smart Sharing AC service to add convenience to the lifestyle of our consumers. At Haier, we have always come up with products and services that make the lives of our consumers comfortable and we will continue to innovate to deliver such smart solutions to our consumers. This initiative is a step towards providing high-tech, hassle-free cooling solutions for all the users in the age of the connected world. Keeping in mind the growing changes and preferences of our consumers, we at Haier will continue to evolve and come up with best-in-class solutions.”

This service utilizes the industry-leading air conditioner range from Haier that comes equipped with a Triple Inverter technology to ensure best-in-class cooling with up to 65% of energy saving. The ACS also feature Haier’s iconic Self-Clean Technology, which provides a complete wet wash of the AC at the press of a button. When activated, there is frost formation on the AC's evaporator that traps all the dust present on the coil. After some time, the frost melts away and washes out all the dirt in the form of water from the drain pipe. This technology ensures healthy and clean air for the customers at all times. Moreover, to avoid unexpected damages caused by voltage fluctuations, the air conditioners come fitted with a hyper PCB which maintains steady operation of the air conditioner, even when voltage drops or increases suddenly.

With the world getting future-ready through advancements in technology, Haier is constantly evolving with innovations in its smart solutions segment to solve the needs of modern contemporary consumers. The new sharing AC service is a testimony to Haier's philosophy of ‘customer-inspired innovation' and its ongoing initiative to introduce smart solutions for making people’s lives more efficient and connected. Amongst a slew of innovations in the market, Haier remains committed to standing out with its unique approach to smart solutions and its ground-breaking ecosystem.
