Haier India Makes History with Two National Honours at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency

Haier Appliances India, the No.1 global major appliances brand for 16 consecutive years, proudly celebrates a historic achievement at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025, organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). For the first time, Haier has become the only brand to win the prestigious ‘Appliance of the Year’ award in two categories for its HRD-2105 Refrigerator and HFC-175S Deep Freezer. This remarkable dual triumph underscores Haier India’s leadership in innovation and energy efficiency.

Observed annually on December 14, National Energy Conservation Day recognizes organizations and technologies that contribute meaningfully to reducing energy consumption across industries. NECA 2025 once again recognized Haier for its pioneering role in advancing energy-efficient solutions in the appliances sector.

The award ceremony, held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, was honoured by the presence of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, along with other distinguished dignitaries, including Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal, Secretary of Ministry of Power Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Director General of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency Shri Dhiraj Kumar Srivastava, and Minister of State for Power & NRE Shri Shripad Yesso Naik.

Notably, Haier’s Refrigerator category has been recognized with the Appliance of the Year award for the third time, following wins in 2021 for the HRD-1922 model and in 2022 for the HRD-1955 5-Star range. Its Deep Freezer category has been honored for the second time, after the HFC-588DM5 model received the award in 2024. These repeated accolades solidify brand’s position at the forefront of innovation, delivering energy-efficient appliances that set national benchmarks in the industry.

Manufactured at Haier’s state-of-the-art facility in Ranjangaon, Pune, these products reflect the brand’s focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability, setting new benchmarks for reliable, energy-efficient appliances. This dual recognition at NECA 2025 further reaffirms Haier India’s leadership in advancing sustainable, energy-efficient solutions across the nation.
