Haier Cup 2025 Philippines: Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle Through Sports

Pasay City, Philippines – August 10, 2025 — Fifty badminton players from various clubs across Metro Manila gathered in Pasay City to take part in the Haier Cup 2025 Philippines, a local tournament that forms part of the larger Southeast Asian Haier Cup. Now on its third year, the Haier Cup continues to promote active, healthy living while bringing together amateur players from the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The winners from this Philippine leg will advance to the regional finals in Indonesia this coming October.

The event was organized by Haier Philippines as part of its goal to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, while also introducing Haier home appliances with features that support health and wellness. During the opening program, participants completed their registration and received their event shirts. Players had the opportunity to warm up before the official opening of the program, Haier team welcomed all players and guests, and highlighted how events like the Haier Cup reflect the company’s mission to support a balanced, healthy lifestyle — both through sports and its appliances designed to improve home living.

After the short briefing and reminders about match schedules and court assignments, the tournament matches officially began at 9:30 AM. Elimination matches were held across seven courts simultaneously, making the morning packed with intense rallies, teamwork, and competitive energy.

While the matches were underway, players and guests enjoyed a relaxing break at the Refreshment Area, where cold drinks and snacks were served. A highlight of the day was the Haier Ice Maker Series Refrigerator, which kept drinks refreshingly cold and ready at all times. With its automatic ice-making feature, players quickly cooled down between matches, staying hydrated and energized. This innovative refrigerator was not just on display — it was in action, proving how smart cooling technology can support an active lifestyle.

As the matches reached their peak, the final three games were played on the main courts to crown this year’s champions. The top six winners — two from each category — will represent Team Philippines in the Haier Cup Southeast Asia this October in Indonesia. Each champion received a Haier Badminton Set, Badminton Bag, Haier Tumbler and Plaque, while runners-up were awarded medals and special Haier gift items.
