542 Entries from 9 Countries Reflect Global Enthusiasm and Local Commitment

Kuala Lumpur, 22 July 2025 – The Haier Cup Junior 2025 concluded with resounding success at One Badminton Academy, Taman Ehsan, Kuala Lumpur. This marks the inaugural edition of the Haier Cup Junior, an exciting extension of the Haier Cup, which has been running for three consecutive years.

This year’s junior tournament received an impressive 542 entries, surpassing expectations and showcasing the strong momentum behind youth badminton development. Participants came not only from across Malaysia but also from 9 different countries — including the Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Sweden, Denmark, Indonesia, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia — making the event truly international.

A key highlight was the participation of athletes from the Haier x One Badminton Academy Junior Development Program, a collaborative grassroots initiative aimed at identifying and nurturing young badminton talents. 

These young players had the opportunity to put their training to the test on a competitive stage, further embodying the program’s mission to empower the next generation of champions.
