Loud pump noise mainly falls into two categories: idling noise caused by insufficient water flow and resonance noise from improper installation. You can troubleshoot and fix the problem with the methods below:
I. Low water flow → Water pump idling noise (most common)
1、Clogged filter screen
Cause: The filter screens of the flow control valve and inlet pipe are blocked by impurities.
Solution: Clean the filter screens inside the flow control valve and water inlet pipe.
2、Excessive pipeline resistance
Cause: Too many pipe bends, overly long inlet pipes or thin pipe diameters.
Solution: Reduce pipe bends, adopt thicker water supply pipes and shorten the water inlet path.
3、Inlet valve not fully opened
Cause: The inlet valve handle is not fully open, resulting in flow restriction.
Solution: Turn the inlet valve handle fully open by 90°.
4、Shower head with flow restrictor
Cause: The water pressure is inherently low, plus the shower head is equipped with a flow restrictor.
Solution: Remove the flow restrictor at the shower head connector.
5、Water tank bottom blockage
Cause: Sediment and impurities at the bottom of the water tank block the water inlet, leading to water pump vacuuming.
Solution: Ask a professional to clean impurities at the water tank bottom and flush the inlet pipeline.
II. Unstable installation → Resonance noise
Cause: The unit is not firmly fixed against the wall, causing resonance during pump operation.
Solution: Reinstall and reinforce the unit to fix it closely and vertically against the wall, so as to eliminate resonance.
