Question: What does the ELCB light on the instant electric water heater mean? What does it indicate when it’s on?
Answer:

The ELCB light is an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker indicator, which is used to signal whether the unit has an electric leakage risk. There are 3 specific scenarios:

ELCB light is on: The unit has detected electric leakage—stop using it immediately;

First press the RESET button: After resolving the leakage fault, press the reset button. Once the light turns off, the unit can be used normally;

ELCB light remains on after reset: Do not use the unit under any circumstances. Cut off the power immediately and contact after-sales service or a professional for on-site maintenance.
