Are there any special requirements for installing an instant electric water heater? What should be noted for power connection?
Answer:
Installation and wiring must strictly comply with the following requirements, and professional electrician operation is recommended:
1、Power Wiring Requirements
Must be directly connected to a dedicated earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB); ordinary plugs are strictly prohibited, and hard-wire connection is mandatory.
Live wire and neutral wire must not be reversed, and reliable grounding is essential.
2、Electric Meter & Wire Gauge Requirements
Maximum current capacity of the electric meter ≥ 40A.
2.5mm² wire for 3500W/4500W models.
4mm² wire for 5700W/6000W models.
3、Water Circuit Requirements
Inlet water flow rate ≥ 2L/min.
Distance between hot water outlet and water usage point should not exceed 2 meters; pipe insulation is required if the distance exceeds this limit.
4、Installation Location & Method
Must be installed indoors, with ambient temperature above 0℃ to prevent freezing.
Vertical installation is mandatory; inverted or horizontal installation is strictly prohibited.
Installation height of shower-specific models must be ≥ 1.5 meters from the ground.
5、Special Requirements for Open-Type Models
No on-off valves of any kind are allowed to be installed on the water outlet.
Flow control valve must be installed on the water inlet.
6、Usage Restriction
This equipment must not be used for drinking water supply.
