Question: Much foam during the spin cycle of washing machine
Answer:

Possible Causes:

1. Excessive or improper detergent use

(1) Using too much laundry detergent, powder, or fabric softener can generate large amounts of foam during high-speed spinning.

(2) Using high-foam or low-efficiency detergents, especially when low-foam detergents are used improperly.

2. Insufficient rinsing

The selected wash program has too few rinse cycles or the rinse time is too short, failing to thoroughly remove detergent residue from the clothes and the drum.

3. Washing machine issues

(1) Poor drainage or clogged filter: A bent or blocked drain pipe prevents wastewater and foam from being discharged promptly, causing them to be repeatedly agitated during spinning.

(2) Water level sensor malfunction: May misjudge the water level, resulting in insufficient water intake, excessive detergent concentration, and increased foam.

Solutions

1. Adjust detergent amount and type

(1) Use the recommended amount as stated in the manual; do not exceed it.

(2) Try using low-foam or zero-foam dedicated laundry detergent/powder.

(3) Ensure detergent is placed in the washing machine's dedicated detergent compartment, rather than poured directly onto the clothes.

2.Enhance rinsing

Manually add 1-2 extra rinse cycles.

3. Clean and maintain the washing machine

(1) Check the drain pipe: Ensure it is positioned correctly, not twisted, flattened, or blocked, and that the end immersed in the drain is not too deep.

(2) Clean the drain filter: Clear the filter by removing hair, lint, and other blockages.

(3) Run the drum self-cleaning program: Use a dedicated washing machine cleaner or run a high-temperature cycle with no load to remove residual detergent and dirt from the inner drum.

Emergency solution:

If foam overflows during spinning, pause the program, manually add some clean water, and select the "Spin " only or "Rinse + Spin" program to start again, helping to dilute and discharge the foam.

Hardware Check:

If the above methods are all ineffective and the foam issue persists, it may be a component malfunction such as the water level sensor, requiring inspection by a service technician.
