Haier Solar Energy Reduces the Olympics' Power Consumption

Haier Solar Energy Reduces the Olympics' Power Consumption The "Green Energy" solution and energy-saving technologies provided by Haier successfully reduced the power consumption for the Olympic Games. Its cutting-edge, energy-efficient and environment-friendly solar energy products were introduced into fifteen Olympic venues, including the "Bird's Nest" and Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. Haier equipped the athletes' dining hall in Olympic Village with refrigerating and hot water supply systems so that the dining hall could provide 24-hour service for athletes. It is reported that Haier solar energy system can save RMB 840,000 for the dining hall per year calculated at the price of RMB 0.7/kwh and reduce the emission of CO2 by 480 tons.
