Haier Develops Platinum Five-star Hotel for Olympics Jointly with Dong Ao The Joint Venture Agreement on Haier InterContinental Hotel between Haier Group and Qingdao Dong Ao Group was signed in Crowne Plaza Hotel Qingdao on January 6th, 5:30pm. Xia Geng, mayor of Qingdao City, Luo Yongming, vice mayor of Qingdao City, Ma Ze, secretary general of Qingdao municipal government, Sun Lijie, secretary general of Sailing Committee of Beijing Organizing Committ-ee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, CEO Zhang Ruimin and president Yang Mianmian from Haier Group attended the signing ceremony. Zhou Yunjie, vice president of Haier Group and Wang Dongc-hu, general manager of Qingdao Dong Ao Group signed the agreement respectively on behalf of each party. Qingdao Dong Ao Group is subordinated to Qingdao Municipal Construction Committee. Dong Ao and Haier will jointly invest in Haier InterContinental Hotel, the first platinum five-star hotel in Qingdao, which is located in the Olympic Village of Qingdao International Sailing Center. In accordance with the Agreement, Haier Home Integration will be the decoration contractor of the Haier InterContinental Hotel project on an exclusive basis to guarantee premium and enjoyable experience for visitors from all over the world. Haier InterContinental Hotel is currently in the process of fine decoration and is expected to open by the end of this year.
