Haier Central Air Conditioner Wins the Bid in the Construction of the Nest Proj.. On November 21, Haier Central Air Conditioner won the bid in the construction of the Nest Project, the main stadium of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The signing ceremony was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. The members of the BOCOG and experts from central air conditioning industry attended the ceremony. The refrigeration experts believed, Haier's wining of the bid means our domestic air-conditioner industry has been a strong competitor in the international arena. It also means that Haier has started to participate in the leading designs of world-class projects. Recently, Haier central air conditioner also succeeded in wining the bid in the construction of the Peking University Gymnasium and Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium. Peking University Gymnasium is the main place for the 2008 Olympics table-tennis games; and the latter for tae kwon do and wrestling.
