Haier-Intel cooperation in IT business of Shandong countryside market January 13, 2006, Xu (Ian) Yang, Vice President of Intel's Sales and Marketing Group, paid an official visit to Haier and met with Gao Yicheng, General Manager of Haier PCs, discussing the common concerns. Their meeting had several agreements inked for joint development of markets in China's countryside and manufacture of personal computers. Xu (Ian) Yang also attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the first countryside information training center in Shandong (Photo). In November, 2005, Shandong IT Administration, Intel and Haier had a pact signed for cooperation in the Household Network Project to develop IT industry and service business in Shandong province. Intel and Haier have so far reached consensus in further development of Haier PC in countryside and 2006 projects for digital household appliances, PCs, Napa notebooks and double core products.
