At the 21st Anniversary of Haier and Seminar on Haier Global Brand Building Strategy held on December 25, 2005, Haier CEO Zhang Ruimin announced Haier's accession to the 4th strategic stage, Global Brand Building. Haier spirit, "Create resources, worldwide prestige", and Haier style, "Individual-goal combination, swift action and success", were also unveiled.
In fact, to "Create resources" requires innovation. Compared with global players, Haier does not enjoy advantage in terms of resources. However, Haier may create resources and improve the core corporate competence through innovation.
To gain "worldwide prestige" is Haier's higher goal in the new stage of global brand building. Haier is determined to satisfy demands of worldwide customers and to become a global recognizable brand.
Guided by this goal, the work style of Haier, "Individual-goal combination, swift action and success", is aimed to achieve the final success with the most efficient measures. In this framework, every SBU of Haier will involve in marketing performance for realization of the goal.
