In Hong Kong, safety of Haier refrigerators officially recognized Not long ago, the HK Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and Hong Kong Consumer Council arranged a joint test of safety performance of refrigerators marketed in Hong Kong, and Haier products were recognized as satisfactory to the highest official technical requirements. Reportedly, no household appliances are allowed to Hong Kong market unless those comply with the criteria of HK Electrical and Mechanical Services Department on safety performance. Of many other products, Haier refrigerators scored the highest marks for electric shock protection, heat resistance and inflammation retardant.
