Haier's new generation refrigerator Haier FTWZ refrigerators well sold Haier uses the same heat insulation materials of spacecrafts for Haier FTWZ refrigerators which has been put into market on August 31, 2004 in Qingdao. This is believed to be the first refrigerator using the material of its kind. Haier FTWZ inverter refrigerator incorporates the technology researched and developed jointly by Haier R&D and China Astronautics Authority. The heat conductive factor of the materials which have been used in spacecrafts is one twelfth of ordinary heat insulation materials, functioning to prevent the heat transmission by 50% and resulting in 50% less energy consumption and thickness. It is believed to be a revolution of refrigerator insulations. Haier's achievements in developing the FTWZ inverter refrigerator helps improve Chinese refrigeration industry significantly and demonstrates the technological leading role of Haier in refrigerator manufacture. Haier FTWZ inverter refrigerator has been widely recognized by refrigerator experts. Shan Dake, a refrigeration expert is quoted as saying that, Haier has made breakthrough in refrigerator manufacture by incorporating spacecraft insulation materials for energy efficiency and environmental protection and superseding foam materials which will be undoubtedly greatly reduced and even replaced completely in near future.
