Haier CEO Zhang Ruimin elected CCTV Olympic Celebrity Representative To celebrate ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games, CCTV Sports Program Center presented a series of Olympic videos, and Haier CEO Zhang Ruimin, the only entrepreneur, took part in the shooting as a celebrity representative for the program titled Olympic and Celebration of Human Being. The other celebrity representatives for the video include Kofi Annan, UN Secretary-General, Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa and He Zhenliang, IOC's member. The video was shown August 15, 2004 on CCTV Sports Channel. I watched the grand event on TV and was deeply moved when Xu Haifeng won the first gold medal of shooting. It is a short moment to win a gold medal. However, it is a permanent issue to challenge higher objective, that is a process in which the value and pursue of life are demonstrated. I think this is where the charm of the Olympic Games is.
