Unexpected achievements made by America Universal On June 19, a 17-member delegation of senior executives led by Mr. Ian McEvoy, president of Universal Instruments Corporation (UIC), visited Haier. Haier president Yang Mianmian and vice president Yu Zida met with the guests and introduced Haier's Product Model Management, SBU Management, Exoteric System, Zero Warehouse Stock and Scissors Theory. The guests were surprised at, anxious for and moved by Haier corporate culture. "I came and expected three things, but now I have four," said UIC assistant CEO Pat, "We thought that you would teach us something, but however, you wish to learn something from us. Your modesty and pure-heartedness are what we should learn from you," said the assistant CEO to Ms. Yang Mianmian. UIC CEO Ian McEvoy said, "Our company was established in 1919 and started by production of pins. In 1963, our company produced and supplied component assembly machines to IBM. We hope to provide all assembly equipment for our customers. Our goal was also to become number 1 world player. We can feel Haier management and corporate culture, and this is significant to us for realizing our goal."
