Haier new refrigerators rolling out
On May 29, Sanyo-Haier held a thrifty press conference in Tokyo for promotion of Haier newly manufactured refrigerators which are noted for streamline doors, opener design handles, bright coloring and features satisfying for white-collar singles.
This refrigerator is jointly researched and developed by Sanyo and Haier based upon Japanese market surveys conducted by Wang Ye and Li Hongming, managers of product models, aiming to satisfy the demands of Japanese white-collar singles. This refrigerator is of 4-star rating, one door, air-cooling system, top airing channels for efficient temperature control for bottle holders (This technology is jointly developed by Sanyo and Haier, for which an application has been submitted for a patent.), aquamarine glass bottle holders and food shelves and application of catalyst for long period deodorization in storage compartments. This product has been manufactured to Japanese Energy Efficiency Criteria 2004. Door handles are designed to a bottle opener and finished with white, blue and yellow, which are favored by youngsters, especially by young ladies.
More than 10 medias, such as Yomiuri Shimbun, released reports on this issue. The Business and Technology commented as follows, the design principles of Sanyo and Haier targeting Japanese household electrical appliance market are not aimed at dumping with low prices, but positive creation and innovation of marketable refrigerators for customer demand satisfaction. In the future, this design and technology intensive products will be manufactured in the terms of series.
Orders were placed immediately by many Japanese home appliance dealers soon after the new products were put into market. Currently, these new model refrigerators under first batch of orders are ready for shipment.
