I believe that the key for Haier to make significant success is because of Haier's corporate culture. Then what is Haier's corporate culture? I would liken Haier the sea, which is deep and full of energy and resources. However, the fundamental factor for Haier's success can be construed by three words, carve-out, innovation and creation. The significance of Haier's philosophy is obtained by combination, integration and concordancy. From this point of view, my explanation of Haier corporate culture is the philosophy incorporating creation and cooperation.
Firstly, I believe that Haier corporate culture is the philosophy of combination, which incorporates far-reaching ideals and practical policies.
Secondly, Haier corporate culture is a philosophy of integration. Enterprises exist in market and an enterprise is independent in the market. Haier understands perfectly the crucial key point of both market and the enterprise itself, and then masters the way to tackle freely the two points.
Thirdly is the philosophy of concordancy which is based upon incorporation of multilevel and multirange resources. I believe that a successful entrepreneur should be good at making full use of resources in the market, and that Haier CEO Zhang Ruimin is an expert in incorporation of all resources.
What is the key to these three factors of Haier corporate culture? The answer is research and innovation. Haier is an organization of learners, keen to study. This does not mean that they copy or imitate others. They learn from others and create with what they have learnt. This is how I understand Haier corporate culture.
I do not think that Haier corporate culture is only useful and significant for itself, or for economic research circle, it is a guideline for us to think how to improve our national culture and spirit. I think the whole Chinese community should study on Haier as the miracle of Haier is not something occurred with coincidence, it is backed by the profound culture.
I believe that Haier corporate culture can only be observed and understood with philosophical methods. At the same time, Haier demonstrates us a correct philosophical thinking.
At last, I would like to iterate that Haier is not only significant to Haier employees, but also to all Chinese.

Over the past one year, Haier and this company have been like lovers filled with happiness. Time flies quickly and our both sides keep exchange ideas and overcame various difficulties. Yesterday, we hosted an opening ceremony for Sanyo (Qingdao) located in Haier (QETDZ) Industrial Complex.
At this great moment, I recall the just past one year. I myself and Sanyo have learnt a lot from Haier. Of the knowledge we learnt, one is swiftness. J (Journalist): Just now you said that you and Haier are lovestuck partners, why you say so?
I (Ille Toshiaki): We two companies, like two lovers, have maintained a excellent cooperative relations and I hope we can keep this state in the future. As we all know, lovers enjoy the advantages and merits of each other, and this means a lot to both of us. This means we try to find advantages and merits of each other and learn from each other. This is of significance for the long-term strategic cooperation between us.
J: How do you evaluate Haier as a Chinese enterprise? What are advantages and merits that you appreciate?
I: Firstly, Mr. Zhang Ruimin, either as a company leader or an individual, is a wonderful partner to me. I have dealt with many great men in global economic circle and, frankly speaking, Mr. Zhang Ruimin has given me a more deeply impression than any company manager that I have ever met before. He is so charming with powerful influence. Secondly, Mr. Zhang Ruimin and Haier president Yang Mianmian are gold partners also. Their understanding and successful cooperation help improve the efficiency in implementation of Haier¡¯s policies to make great success in a shortest period.
J: You said just now that you would introduce Haier¡¯s philosophy of swiftness and innovation to Sanyo next year. Are you serious, or you have to say so as you are at the celebrating event of Haier?
I: Yes, I am serious. Sanyo's business principles next years is Daily Innovation. Haier's swiftness and innovation equal our Daily Innovation. This has been confirmed. In the beginning of every year, thousands of Japanese business people and economists will get together for a symposium for celebrating the new year. The next year event will be on January 4. We used to post a banner with a few key words to express and exchange our ideas for expectation in the new year. The words I am going to make on this banner are two words, Daily Innovation, which I learnt in Haier University. I will detail the background of the two words at the meeting.
