"Haier Is A World Player." Said Mr. Mike Thienemen, Whirlpool Executive Directo.. December 4, some senior management of Whirlpool led by its executive director and CTO Mike Thienemen visited Haier. The delegation was received by Mr. Zhang Ruimin, Mr. Chai Yongsen, standing vice president of Haier. Whirlpool is the largest white goods manufacturer and seller in the world. It was established in 1911 and its current global business turnover reaches USD10.5 billion. Mr. Mike said, "We have concerned about Haier for years as we understand that Haier is not only young, but also potentially competitive in the world. Haier's swift response to the market changes, corporate culture and SBU management are worth studying for us" He also iterated, "Haier and Whirlpool share common understanding and philosophy to satisfy every requirement of customers, to create valuable products for customers with innovation and to win credit of customers for our products. I strongly believe that our two companies will find a way of cooperation and learn from each other for mutual benefits."
