"General Chips and Haier Strategy" Published
Recently, the Democracy and Construction Publishing House put out a book entitled "GE Chips and Haier Strategy", written by Dr Michael D Burton, a graduate from the Business School of Harvard University. He is now chief reporter with The Wall Street Daily and special guest critic for Fortune. The book describes, from the angle of "transition of management concept from Jack Welch to Zhang Ruimin", Haier's valuable experience in "assimilating GE", and "effective combination of the GE experience with China's practical conditions and Haier's development".
In the preface to the book, the author writes, "In my mind, what Eastern entrepreneurs lack is learning. It is assimilation and absorption of world-advanced managerial experience ¨C such as that upheld by GE, but not merely one or two brainstorms. Surprisingly, Haier has lived up to that." "This book is intended for those who are dedicated to globalization, especially for the Chinese entrepreneurs."
The book contains the following chapters.
