Haier Joins Efforts with Three Big Overseas Certification Organizations Haier Group and three worldwide-known certification organizations entered into an agreement for establishment of a Certification-Coop Studio on March 13. The three certification services providers are the German TUV, American Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the British ETL SEMKO, a division of Intertek Testing Services (ITS). Liang Haishan, vice president of the Haier Group and the representatives of the three certification organizations attended the agreement signing ceremony and then inauguration of the studio. After the establishment of the studio, the station-in-site engineers from these certification firms, who are selected through public bidding, will directly join Haier's products design and manufacturing teams, which therefore will speed up the reaction to bring the Haier products in line with the international market.
