Premier Zhu visits Haier hall at the 90th Guangzhou Autumn Fair At 8:30pm, Oct 14, one day before the 90th Guangzhou Autumn Foreign Trade Fair, Premier Zhu Rongji came to the exhibition hall for inspection. When Premier Zhu came to the Haier booth, which occupied the entire 500m2 No.2 East Hall with great varieties of hi-tech products on show, he held the hands of Mr Zhang Ruimin, CEO of Haier Group, in his and said, "You are a well-known entrepreneur in the world!" Mr Zhang answered smilingly, "Premier Zhu, I'd like to report to you the recent development in Haier first. According to your instructions for opening up the Russian market, we made a market survey in Russia in early October and found a good approach in this respect." Premier Zhu praised the Haier style of quick response and then turned to Shi Guangsheng, minister of foreign trade and economic cooperation, who was accompanying the premier during his inspection, and said, "Coordinate with the Russian side and create conditions for enterprises!' After carefully browsing over the figures given in the introductory materials, the premier said to Mr Zhang, "Almost equal to the previous one (Korean Samsung)!" Mr Zhang said, "Our goal is to enter the world top three!" The premier nodded repeatedly: "Good! Good!" After Premier Zhu and his company left the Haier booth, an accompanying official exclaimed: "Comrade Rongji is planning to be at the Fair for 45 minutes, but he spent 15 minutes at the Haier hall. How attractive Haier is!" Mr Zhang Ruimin, CEO of the Haier Group, is briefing Premier Zhu Rongji on Haier's international strategy and hi-tech products.
