Zhang Ruimin, a Man with Extraordinary Strength On July 2nd 2001, the British Financial Times published an article entitled "A Red-covered Book for Chinese Enterprises". The article gave a detailed description of the 16 year history of the Haier Group and achievements of Zhang Ruimin, as an ordinary CPC member. According to the article, Mr Zhang, CEO of the Haier Group, the largest Chinese household appliance manufacturer, is the best-know entrepreneur in China. He is reputed as a man with extraordinary strength for he has turned Haier into a large international company within 16 years alone.
