National leaders laud Haier at exhibition Recently, a "State enterprise reform and technical innovation achievement exhibition" was held in Beijing. As one of the first batch of technical innovation experiment enterprises in China, Haier participated and showed its products. Among them are remote controlled vacuum cleaner, 3-D TV, myopia-proof color TV, CDMA mobile phone, MRV air conditioner, computer, MP3 music player, intelligent robot dog, new washing machine and others. All the products on show drew the attention of participants with their new technology and high market values. On June 21st, Premier Zhu Rongji held Wu Kesong's hand (vice president of the board of directors of Haier) and said happily: "Haier has the largest number of exhibits!" At the exhibition hall, Premier Zhu was also shown the operation of the remote-controlled vacuum cleaner. Vice Premier Wen Jiabao used "terrific" to express his affirmation when he learned that Haier successfully developed a customized drawer-type refrigerator within 17 hours and of the outstanding achievements made in the development of international markets. He fully affirmed the "global technological resource integration" concept mentioned by Yang Mianmian, president of Haier Group, during an interview with reporters from CCTV "Focus". At the "National Technical Innovation Meeting", director of the State Economic and Trade Commission Li Rongrong cited Haier several times in his statement. Director Li remarked: "We'll fully support Haier!"
