Haier invades Europe and purchases an Italian refrigerator factory On June 19, the signing ceremony of Haier's purchase of an Italian refrigerator factory was held at Haier Group, which received congratulations from Wei Jianguo, Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Economic and Trade. CEO Zhang Ruimin and President Yang Mianmian of Haier Group, Mr. Yamori, General Manager of Haier European Trade Co, and Ms Margani from the Italian factory, also attended the meeting. After the invasion into the US, Haier has realized the so-called three-in-one (i.e. integration of design, production and sales) management mode in Europe. Through the purchase, Haier got a production base in Europe as well as favorable conditions to enable it to take part in local manufacturer organizations and facilitate future development. The factory, which covers 22,000m2 of land, has an advantageous location. Whirlpool, Candy and Zanussi all have manufacturing bases here. Haier Italian factory will mainly specialize in household appliance and component production, import & export, purchase and sales. It has advanced freon-free refrigerator production lines and MRP computer management system. Through cooperation of this project, Haier can obtain three windows and realize two radiations. The three windows are information window, technical window and purchasing window. The two radiations are radiation from Italy to other European countries and radiation from refrigerator to other products.
