Signing Ceremony for Haier Pakistan Industrial Park, the second overseas indust.. The official signing ceremony for Haier Pakistan Industrial Park was held at the Haier Headquarters on March 1, 2001. Mr Zhang Ruimin, CEO of the Haier Group, Mr Shao Mingjin, vice-chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr Chai Yongsen, deputy chief executive, and Mr Muhammad, general manager of the Pakistani R Group, attended the ceremony. Haier Pakistan Industrial Park is the second overseas industrial park founded by the Haier Group after Haier American Industrial Park The first phase of the project will cover the production of air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines. The R Group is the largest dealer for household electric appliances in Pakistan, with the largest marketing and sales networks in the country. The Haier Group is the largest household electric appliance manufacturer in China, and has maintained a growth rate of 80% for many years. It has international competitiveness in R&D for new products. It is reported that from March onwards, the sales of Haier products, including refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines, will expand in Pakistan. At the ceremony, Mr Zhang Ruimin said, the combination of both sides' strengths will help reach two targets. One is, Haier will become the best known Chinese brand in Pakistan; the other is, a win-win objective will be realized. Confident in the cooperation, Mr Muhammad said "I believe, we'll be able to make Haier the No. 1 brand by using our powerful marketing network and good relationships with our clients. I trust Haier and I trust the quality of Haier products, for Haier is like the sea." The ceremony ended amongst toasts for a successful cooperation.
