BEIJING, China – January 9^th – The 2016 National Science and Technology Award Conference was held this month in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People. The event saw the First Class National Science and Technology Progress Award (NSTPA) – the household appliance industry’s highest honor – bestowed upon an effort known as “DTMB System Internationalization and Industrialization Key Technologies and Applications”, a project in which Haier (Beijing) IC Design Co., Ltd. was an important contributor. As early as 1993, Haier won its first NSTPA with “Development and Application of Technologies Concerning High-End International Market Batch Export of BCD-212/BCD-220 Series Refrigerators”. As of this latest awards ceremony, Haier Group has managed to take home a total of 14 NSTPAs.
