On July 27, a delegation led by Patrick Crombez, President of the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), and Paul Kenny, Secretary General, visited Haier's headquarters in Qingdao. The visit aimed to survey Haier Air & Water Solutions' heat pump R&D and product portfolio, seeking valuable insights and experiences to support building carbon neutrality in Europe through closer cooperation.

In the first half of this year, as Europe's energy transition gathered pace, air-source heat pumps emerged as a key solution for reducing building carbon emissions. Against this backdrop, Haier Air & Water Solutions leveraged its global footprint to integrate AI technology across its entire R&D, manufacturing, and sales chain, connecting to the Haier Smart Home AI Brain for end-to-end synergy. Industry data shows that while the overall European heat pump market grew by about 15% to 18% in the first half of the year, Haier's heat pumps achieved a rapid growth rate of 48%—nearly three times the market average—thanks to efficient AI synergy and localized innovation. Its high-end, highly energy-efficient models continue to be highly sought after in core markets across Southern and Western Europe.

To address the diverse decarbonization needs across different scenarios in the European market, Haier Air & Water Solutions showcased its tailored solutions. In the residential sector, the newly launched Super Aqua Monobloc heat pump operates reliably even in extreme weather and achieves Europe’s highest A+++ energy efficiency rating, simplifying installation for both new builds and renovations. In the commercial sector, the 26-40kW Flexi commercial heat pump delivers water temperatures up to 80°C, allowing direct connection to traditional radiators. It also supports cascading up to eight units for a total capacity of 320kW, significantly lowering retrofitting costs for large-scale projects.

During the visit, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the evolution of high-temperature heat pump technology, updating energy efficiency regulations, building installation ecosystems, and low-carbon refrigerant roadmaps. The EHPA leadership highly commended Haier's AI achievements and localized innovation capabilities in the European market. Moving forward, Haier Air & Water Solutions will continue to deepen its collaboration with the EHPA to jointly advance Europe toward its building carbon neutrality goals.
