Olympic Gold Medals Bring Hope -- Haier Donates to Build 51 Hope Primary Schools Chinese athletes won 51 gold medals at the Beijing Olympic Games; therefore, Haier will build 51 Haier Hope Schools according to its "One Gold Medal, One Hope Primary School" plan. These primary schools will spread across 25 provinces and provide education opportunities for over 30,000 children in impoverished areas. On August 23, Olympic champions Chen Xiexia,Liao Hui, Liu Chunhong visited Haier's "Making the World a Home" Experience Center in Beijing to unveil nameplates of the Hope Schools named after them. It is said that the construction of the first Haier Hope Primary School named after Olympic champion will be completed in September.
