President Hu Jintao Attending Unveiling Ceremony of Haier-Ruba Economic Zone in.. Lahore, Pakistan. Nov.26th Xinhua News Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China attends the formal unveiling ceremony of Haier-Ruba Economic Zone in Lahore,Pakistan on November 26th and delivers a speech. Hu Jintao declares that Chinese government encourages more successful Chinese enterprises to invest and build plants in Pakistan. This win-win cooperation will be mutually beneficial to the two countries and the people. That morning, Haier-Ruba Economic Zone is decorated with colorful flags and filled with music. And President Hu Jintao is warmly welcomed by Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Maqbool-Governor of Province Punjab and the top managment from Haier China, Ruba Group and Haier Pakistan. Employees of Haier also line the passage to welcome Hu's visit. Hu first takes a tour of the showroom of household appliances and then has a close look of the sand table of the economic zone while listening to the introduction of its planning. Hu also gives an address at the unveiling ceremony. He says Haier-Ruba Economic Zone is one of China's first industrial zones built overseas. This marks a deeper and all-round cooperation in Sino-Pakistani economic development. Hu expresses his hope that the Haier-Ruba Economic Zone can make achievements in scientific innovation and market exploration so as to realize a sustainable development and make itself an example of Sino-Pakistani economic cooperation and an embodiment of Sino-Pakistani friendship. Aziz expresses his gratitude to Hu for his presence at this ceremony. He says that China is Pakistan's trustworthy friend indeed. "The establishment of the Haier-Ruba Economic Zone is a milestone in business cooperation between the two countries and we'd like to extend our gratitude to Chinese government for their support of establishing economic zones overseas. The economic development of Pakistan brings about a new opportunity for Chinese enterprises and there are still many win-win opportunities for two countries," Aziz says. Finally, Hu and Aziz unveil for the Haier-Ruba Economic Zone. After the ceremony, Hu pays a visit to the manufacturing facilities. Haier-Ruba Economic Zone is one of the first overseas economic cooperation zones approved by Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C, which is built through joint investment of Haier Group from China and Ruba Group from Pakistan.
