Haier's Safe Care Technology Becoming the New National Standard for Electric Wa..
On Nov 27, a new national standard incorporating Haier's safe care technology for electric water heater amended by China Association for Standardization was officially released in Beijing, and will be enforced beginning from July 1, 2007. This is the first national standard originating from an enterprise patent in the history of Chinese household appliances. The new national standard for water heater has incorporated three Haier standards, i.e., water heater safety standard based on Haier's safe care technology, water heater performance standard and specifications of water heater installation.
According to the introduction by Ma Dejun, General Secretary of the Technology Committee of China Association for Standardization, the new national standard for water heater relies on Haier's safe care technology in view of an electrically conductive environment. The safe care technology initiated by Haier provides the optimum safety for the water heater users. As a result, it is likely to eliminate of the injuries caused by the use of water heater in an electrically conductive environment.
On November 24, the Q & A Conference of China Association for Standardization was held in Haier Group. Mr. Johns, the chairman of IEC-TC61 Technical Committee: Household and Similar Electrical Appliances attended the meeting and talked about the agenda on the entry of Haier's safe care technology into the international standard with Haier's experts. Mr. Johns believed, the incorporation of safe care technology into China's national standard would provide a solid basis, theoretical and practical, for this technology to be recognized as an international standard.
